Students Celebrate Fantastic Results

Students at Carew Academy celebrated some fantastic achievements today.  Here is just a flavour of some of the amazing success stories:

Every student entered for a GCSE achieved a grade.

One student achieved a 3 in Maths (a D in old money), two students achieved a 3 in Biology (a D in old money).

One student achieved a 7 in Art (an A grade) and one student achieved a 6 in Photography (a B grade) – amazing.

Students also achieved passes in Functional Skills Level 1 in English, Maths and PSE for the first time.

One Sixth Form student achieved Functional Skills Level 1 in Computing – a very challenging qualification.

Our Year 13 students achieved all their BTEC qualifications, three of them receiving Diplomas for their work.

A large number of students also achieved Silver Arts Awards in Music and Drama and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

Well done to our Year 11 and Year 13 students.

The school is making such a difference to the lives of our young people. I am immensely proud of all that you are achieving.
